How does the admission process work?

Registering your new trailer is an important step to ensure it can be legally operated on the roads. Here's an overview of the process:

1. Receipt of Vehicle Documents: After your trailer has been thoroughly inspected and prepared, we will send you the required vehicle documents. These include the vehicle registration certificate (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II) and the CoC document (Certificate of Conformity).

2. Obtain Insurance: Before registration, you will need third-party liability insurance for the trailer. Contact your insurance company to obtain an electronic insurance confirmation (eVB number).

3. Appointment at the Registration Office: Schedule an appointment at your local registration office. Bring all necessary documents, including:

   • Vehicle registration certificate (Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II)
     
   • CoC document (Certificate of Conformity)
   • Identity card or passport
   • Electronic insurance confirmation (eVB number)
   • Possibly a direct debit authorization for vehicle tax
     
     

4. Registration and License Plates: At the registration office, your documents will be checked and the trailer will be registered. You will then receive your license plates. You must attach these to the trailer.

5. Affixing Stickers: The registration office will affix the HU sticker (main inspection) to your license plate. Ensure all stickers are correctly affixed before operating the trailer.

6. Collection or Delivery: After the trailer is registered, you can either collect it on-site and receive free instruction or arrange for delivery directly to your home.
